In discussions with clients about the need for change as a result of digitalization, more and more often the topics of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning are coming up, either because they work with AI themselves or because they are keen to explore how AI can help solve problems in their business or create new business opportunities.

There is a growing number of AI startups here in the Stockholm area and I have personally had the pleasure of interviewing senior execs at large Swedish and Finnish corporations about their digital transformation journeys, their collaboration with startups and the use of AI and Machine Learning. It's definitely a hot technology area right now.

This week, I went to THINGS "Get On Top of Machine Learning" event and listened to speakers from Arthur D. Little (ADL), Stream Analyze, Imagimob AB, AI.Hub, Ekkono Solutions and Dassault Systèmes / SolidWorks. They shared their insights about the technology, concepts and example use cases.

According to the presenter from Stream Analyze, 80% of US CEOs think AI will signficicantly change the way they do business in the next five years.
