Next to the beautiful Hedvig Eleonora Church on Östermalm in Stockholm is Teknikföretagen, who hosted this year's Pre-CES event last night.
For the past ten years, the charismatic and driven Swedish start-up advisor/VC connector/tech scout Tomas Bennich has organized activities at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas (NV), USA for a Swedish delegation of tech startups with the aim to help them get as much exposure and meetings as possible. This annual initiative would not be possible without the support of startup friendly partner organizations. The Sweden CES 2025 activities are organized with support from Teknikföretagen, KPMG, Electrification Hub, GTI, the Swedish Embassy in Washington DC, and Sweden Growth Alliance
CES is the world's largest and most influential technology event, held in January every year. The next one is held January 7-10, 2025. It brings together thousands of exhibitors and close to 140,000 attendees from around the world to showcase and explore the latest innovations in a range of tech verticals – not just consumer electronics these days, but everything from automotive to space tech, robotics, AI, industrial tech, PaaS, SaaS and more.
Panel discussion with Gabriel Mellqvist
At last night’s networking event in Stockholm, a room full of representatives from the Swedish startup scene were treated to an interesting panel discussion, moderated by well-known Swedish finance reporter Gabriel Mellqvist from EFN Ekonomikanalen. He covered a range of topics such as tech trends, insights on how to get the most out of CES, tech valuations and other VC insights with panelists Patrik Hedelin (eEquity), Sara Resvik (Endeit Capital), Erik Lindblad (Zenith Ventures), and Johan Engdahl (KPMG).
Afterwards followed food, drinks and mingling.
